Microsoft Groove 2007 / Sharepoint Workspace 2010

Some packages of MS Office 2007 and Office 2010 include a program called Groove (Sharepoint Workspace on Office 2010) which runs in the background and conflicts with Pathloss. If it is installed and running on your system it will prevent Pathloss from starting. No window will appear and no process will be started.

The solution is to first uninstall Groove or Sharepoint Workspace. You can uninstall it by using the add / remove programs tool from the Control Panel. Select Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2010 and click the Change button. Select Add or Remove Features and click continue. Click Microsoft Office Groove or Sharepoint Workspace and change the selection to 'Not Available'. Click continue to make the modification.

It is not necessary to remove Office 2007 or Office 2010, only the Groove or Sharepoint Workspace component.

Once Groove or Sharepoint Workspace is uninstalled, Pathloss 5 can be started and activated. Once this is complete Groove or Sharepoint Workspace can be reinstalled.
